Remote Control Dimmer – RF

Suitable for switching and dimming 12/24V LED lights by remote control.

A low voltage power supply is required to power this dimmer and the lights it controls. We offer a range of Standard switching power supplies at the bottom of the page.

Wall mounted remote control holder included.

The remote has 2 scene buttons; select a light level, hold one of the scene save buttons for 2 seconds; the light level is saved for future recall.

Strong radio frequency signal ensures a control distance up to 30m from remote to receiver. ‘Line of sight? isn’t required – the receiver can be hidden out of sight.

The receiver can control a total of 108 Watts of LED Strip at 12V or 216 Watts of LED Strip running at 24V.

Up to 5m of 12V LED strip or 10m of 24V LED strip can be connected in series with this dimmer. Additional LED strips could be connected in parallel providing the capacity of the dimmer isn’t exceeded.

    I bought this to dim some warm white LED strip lights. It was easy to install and works well, the dial is very sensitive but I guess it’s something I’ll get used to. The two programmable scenes are handy and the dimming curves are pretty good, so the fades aren’t too sudden.

    Good piece of kit. Works well with no line of sight – it’s tucked away under a fixed bench. The two presets are surprisingly useful. Instructions are a bit lacking but common sense will prevail. My only small gripe is the terminals for both input and output are a bit small for a unit which is rated at 8.5A

    I used the led strip to provide lighting for my other half’s dressing table and wanted the dimmer to ensure we could get the right level of lighting. It works perfectly dimming the strip between no light and full brightness.

    The cable connectors are a little small for the power supply and when linking all the channels together for maximum capacity. I had to add ‘chock blocks’ to wire in the channels, even with the purchased cable. When wired, function and usability is fantastic so far!

    I wired this product up using the data sheet. The lights didn’t work. I realised that the red and black are the wrong way round on the data sheet and the card supplied with the product. I suspect they are American where the colour coding is black for live. The diagram on the web page is correct. \r\n\r\nProduct works well although the terminals for output are too small and fiddly especially if you have to bridge across them. I ended up taking three single wires to a terminal block to feed two tapes.

    Have bought these to control white led strips that will illuminate the work surfaces in my new kitchen and although they are not in place yet I have tested them to make sure everything works.\r\nThey do and will be good. Easy to connect and give good control over on/off, led brightness, preset brightness settings and a 30 second fade out to off, useful when leaving the room with light lasting long enough to give a lit exit. The remote slips into a wall bracket with less chance of it being lost, rf connection is immediate and don’t anticipate any problems.
