What are Plaster-In LED Profiles?
Plaster-In LED Profiles are a cutting-edge lighting solution designed to integrate seamlessly into walls and ceilings. Unlike traditional LED profiles that may sit on the surface, Plaster-In Profiles are directly installed onto the plasterboard prior to the plastering process. This innovative method ensures a sleek and unobtrusive look, resulting in an uninterrupted, smooth finish with the LED lights shining through.
What makes them unique compared to any other LED Profile?
The uniqueness of Plaster-In LED Profiles lies in their seamless integration capability. Where conventional LED profiles may be visible and protrude from the wall or ceiling, Plaster-In Profiles vanish into the plasterboard. Once installed and plastered over, the only visible sign of the profile is the glowing strip of the LED itself. This approach not only offers a contemporary aesthetic but also ensures that none of the LED profile hardware is visible, preserving the clean lines and minimalist design that many homeowners and designers seek.
What are the specific uses of Plaster-In LED Profiles?
With dimensions of 53mm in width and 13.5mm in height, these profiles are specifically crafted to accommodate LED strips up to 12.5mm wide. This makes them versatile for a range of applications including:
- Ambient Lighting: Create a soft and inviting glow in living rooms, bedrooms, or hallways.
- Accent Lighting: Highlight specific zones within a space like hallways or staircases.
- Task Lighting: Illuminate work areas, kitchen counters, or reading nooks.
- Decorative Lighting: Add a touch of luxury to coves, niches, or layered ceiling designs.
Whether you aim to add a sophisticated touch to a residential space, elevate a commercial property, or innovate within a design project, Plaster-In LED Profiles offer a unique blend of functionality and elegance, ensuring a refined finish every time.
The SL15 LED strip is available in white in the 24v section, the COB LED strip is available in 12v white, 24v white and RGBW COB.

FAQ’s
How do I install the Plaster in LED Profile?
There are 2 main options when it comes to installation. Firstly, you can plasterboard the intended area, mark out where you would like the LEDs to show then cut the plasterboard with either a Stanley knife or a fine-toothed saw. Secondly, you can fit the profile as you install the plasterboard. This would mean boarding up to the area you want to light, fixing the LED profile, and then continuing with the plasterboard.
How do I negotiate the corners?
The best way to make any degree of corner is to cut the LED Plaster in Profile at the required angle using an electric chop saw. This will ensure the 2 pieces fit neatly and leave a clean, burr-free edge.
What if I need longer lengths than 2m?
Simple! You can butt as many lengths of the LED profile together as desired.
How do I secure the LED Plaster in Profile?
You have 3 main options for fitting the LED profile to the plasterboard-
- Screws. You can screw directly through the profile mounting shoulders using plasterboard screws.
- Glue. A good gun adhesive will hold the profile in place so you can continue plaster-boarding.
- Plaster. Either board adhesive or roughing plaster will easily secure the LED profile in the plasterboard.
