Low Voltage DC Regulators
These regulators should only be used when powering low-voltage LED lights from a battery.
The voltage produced from a vehicle’s battery can fluctuate. A 12V camper van or motor home battery can produce up to 14.5V at certain times. Similarly, a 24V HGV or bus battery can produce up to 26V. A voltage regulator is essential in keeping the voltage supplied to the LED strip at a constant 12V/24V as required. Wiring an LED lighting strip directly to a vehicle battery will reduce the life of the LEDs and may cause permanent damage.
