This 24V white LED strip is specifically designed for use outdoors or in very wet areas.
Fitted with Epistar LEDs
This LED strip is built with high grade Epistar LEDs for superior performance. This strip is fitted with 60 LEDs per metre. The light strip is waterproof to IP68 rating, encapsulated in a square silicone tube and injected with liquid silicone making it completely water tight.
This LED strip has been designed so the LEDs operate at half capacity. This is to reduce the possibility of the LEDs overheating inside the thick waterproof coating encasing them.
Strip Lengths
This LED strip is sold in 2.5m, 5m, 7.5m and 10m lengths. We can also supply bespoke lengths in increments of 10cm by special order with a 10-14 day lead time - Contact us for details.
As standard, this LED Strip is manufactured and supplied in 5m and 10m lengths, so purchases of strips other than these standard lengths are non-returnable as they have been cut to size or specially manufactured for you.
We supply 5m and 10m strips with an input cable at both ends. Other length (2.5m and 7.5m) strips have an input cable at one end.
Cutting and Sealing the LED Strip
The LED strip can be cut with scissors, to as small as every 6 LEDs (10cm). Once cut the end of the LED strip will need sealing. We sell small tubes of clear silicone and clear rubber end caps which can be used to seal the cut end of the LED strip. Select the 'Sealing Kit' in the blue options box if required. The kit includes two end caps and 1 small tube of silicone.
The LED strip is self adhesive backed, however water can degrade the adhesive over time. Alternatively we sell clear mounting clips which screw down to secure the LED strip. Select 'Mounting Clips' in the blue options box if required. They are sold in packs of 20.
Up to 10 metres of LED strip can be wired in series with a 24V driver. Additional LED strips need to be connected in parallel (see the Diagram).
24V Power Supply
You need a LED 24 Volt Driver to power LED strip. Each metre of this strip requires 7 watts, so choose a driver powerful enough to supply the total wattage required.
