Yesterday morning I spent nearly £200 on a large LED setup from here, after assurances from the customer service rep that the free _£75 postage is Parcelforce 24 and will thus arrive the next day.
It has not arrived today, and I have an electrician coming tomorrow morning that I have already had to pay a deposit to. I also have the morning booked off work to get the installation done.
This is inconvenient in the EXTREME and I am VERY UNHAPPY. Which I think is pretty understandable? A bit of honesty over delivery would have helped avoid this whole situation.

We are sorry that the Royal Mail delivery service didn't live up to your expectations. You ordered in the early afternoon on the 8th and those items were sent first class recorded delivery that same afternoon.
We would expect them to reach you the next day, and certainly before the end of the following day.
Unfortunately, we have no control over the Post Office's service, so we also offer a guaranteed next day courier service at a small additional cost.
Sorry for the delay in delivery. We dispatched your order on the same day it was ordered, Royal mail delivered it 3 days later. Free delivery orders are either shipped with Royal Mail 1st Class or with Parcel Force. The weight, size and value of the order are all taken into account before a delivery method is chosen. Our sales staff are not trained to advise you on this, however if you need an order next day we always recommend you choose a next day service.
Moving forward we are looking to use one delivery company for all our parcels 'Interlink'. This will reduce delays in delivery sometimes associated with Royal Mail.
