Aluminium Extrusion in a 2m Length

This aluminium Extrusion is suitable for LED strip up to 10mm wide. It's designed to be recessed into a surface and used as a shelf support, lighting through the edge of a perspex or glass shelf. The aluminium is designed to take an 8mm thick shelf which pushes tightly into position. For added safety a clear adhesive could be used to secure the shelf inside the profile.

The aluminium shelf profile is supplied in a satin aluminium finish but you can paint it if required to match the wall finish. The aluminium acts as a heat sink to help maintain the LED life. The profile does not require a diffuser cover.

If you like to see the 'dots' of light through the shelf simply ensure a clear finish to the edge of the glass/perspex. To remove the light 'dots' and produce a uniform line of light simply finish the edges of the glass/perspex to a frosted finish. Etching solution could be used on the front edge of glass to create this affect.

For customers who require longer lengths, simply butt the aluminium channels together to make the required length. Installation is designed to be as simple as possible. The aluminium profile is usually bonded in place to complete the installation.

Please note, the aluminium channel does not include the shelf (glass, perspex etc.), end caps or LED Strip Light. The end caps and LED Strip Lights are available to buy separately.
